Masterclass 18+

Description

The Masterclass is composed of any adult over the of 18, willing to learn, brush up or further their expertise into acting and what the acting training can bring to their daily work or routine. In this class, adults will fully delve into improvisation classes, Meisner technique, voice, movement and in-depth analysis of film scenes. The participants will evolve into fully creating and understanding how to form a character in film using the Academy’s 10-step process to analyze a script and bring a character to life. These guidelines will serve as a backbone to preparing for film and theater but can also be used as a preparative technique for any kind of event in life. One of the important steps of the groundwork of acting is that it is a study of life and oneself and not only for performance-based work.

The masterclass aims to become a community, welcoming in new participants and expanding the group so as to form a strong and supportive team of artists, exploring their curiosity of acting and allowing the techniques learned in the classes to help them to ‘let go’ and embrace their full potential.

Along with the various exercises, games and methods, the Masterclass will also use relaxation exercises such as bioenergetic work, mediation and breathwork to fine tune their ‘instrument’ and them to find their center in any given moment of their daily life, in the office, at home or on stage/screen.

At the end of each class, the participants will prepare and rehearse a scene given to them at the beginning of each month. On the penultimate class of every month, these scenes will be filmed and eventually screened in the room on the very last class of the month! Any friend or family member of the participant is invited and welcomed to see the amazing work produced by the actors.

Note: If the either participant doesn’t want their scene to be screened, there is no problem at all! Please let us know in advance and we won’t screen it on the day. A copy of the scene can be personally delivered to the participant and not be show to anyone. If you wish your work to remain private, it will remain as such.

Please note that as a professional and working actor, there may be instances where Gabriele is called away to film projects overseas. In such cases, substitute acting coaches will be arranged to conduct classes. Rest assured, parents and students will be promptly notified via email about any temporary changes in coaching personnel.
